Job summary

Rockford Therapy Solutions in San Jose, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in a full-time role. You will support patients through personalized treatment plans and help improve mobility and function.

Working onsite, you will collaborate with PTs, OTs, and SLPs, educate patients on body mechanics, supervise therapeutic exercises, document progress, and contribute to a compassionate rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid state license as PTA.
• Foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions.
• Experience implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare team.
• Patient-centered approach with compassion.
• Adaptability to diverse patient populations and conditions.
• Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and monitor progress.
• Educate patients on body mechanics and safe exercise techniques; establish home exercise programs.
• Administer modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under supervision.
• Accurately monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain organized treatment areas and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for sessions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
• Offer emotional support to patients and build rapport throughout rehabilitation.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
