Working onsite, you will collaborate with PTs, OTs, and SLPs, educate patients on body mechanics, supervise therapeutic exercises, document progress, and contribute to a compassionate rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

Work Environment

Located onsite in a well-equipped hospital setting, our team operates in a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. You will have access to state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment and technology while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals that comprises Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' specific goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities, paying close attention to their progress and physical responses.
• Educate patients on body mechanics, safe exercise techniques, and establish home exercise programs to promote self-care.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat or cold therapy under supervision.
• Accurately monitor and document patient progress, tracking metrics such as range of motion, strength enhancements, and functional improvements.
• Maintain organized treatment areas, ensuring that equipment and supplies are readily available for each therapy session.
• Foster collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, optimizing outcomes through shared insights and strategies.
• Offer emotional support to patients, building rapport and a positive rehabilitation experience throughout their recovery journey.
• Uphold ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and respect for patient rights in all interactions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state certification or license as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.

• Experience in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
