Work Environment

This full-time position is located onsite at our hospital facility, which is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and technology designed to optimize patient outcomes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that enhances the treatment experience for our clients. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Physical Therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans that enhance patient mobility, strength, and overall functional capability.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activity routines designed to alleviate pain and promote physical well-being.
• Educating patients about proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, along with developing home exercise programs to support their recovery outside the clinic.
• Administering modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functionality.
• Preparing treatment areas and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and available.
• Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate and provide comprehensive patient care that optimizes rehabilitation outcomes.
• Offering emotional support to patients, encouraging them throughout their rehabilitation journey, thus fostering a positive and motivating environment.
• Maintaining high ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting individual rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, athletes rehabilitating from injuries, elderly patients with mobility challenges, and children with developmental needs. Your role is vital in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• An Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
