Job summary

Longmeadow Healthcare Center in Justin, TX is seeking a compassionate and motivated Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to help residents improve mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

You will administer prescribed treatments under a Physical Therapist, document progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust plans of care.

Experience in SNF or long-term care is preferred, and Texas PTA licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and restore function.
• Provide skilled PT services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation complies with company policies and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
