Job summary

Pecan Tree Rehab and Health in Texas is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team, delivering patient-centered care to enhance mobility and quality of life for residents.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Texas PTA license, has SNF/long-term care experience, and is proficient with Net Health Electronic Documentation System. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in our collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments under PT supervision.
• Provide skilled PT services and interventions under physician orders.
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify treatment plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
