Job summary

Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center seeks a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide skilled therapy to help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence.

You will collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary staff, document progress, educate residents and caregivers on safe exercises, and promote resident safety and participation in therapy

Qualifications

• Current PTA license in the applicable state.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, balance activities, and functional mobility.
• Follow individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising PT.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Promote resident safety, independence, and participation throughout treatment.
• Educate residents and caregivers on appropriate exercises, mobility techniques, and safety strategies.
