The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled therapy services that help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.
Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, balance activities, and functional mobility
Follow individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising PT
Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Promote resident safety, independence, and participation throughout treatment
Educate residents and caregivers on appropriate exercises, mobility techniques, and safety strategies
Current PTA license in the applicable state
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care
Schedule: Full-Time
