Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a licensed New York PTA to join our skilled nursing facility team. This Full-time PTA will work under a supervising physical therapist to implement the plan of care and support residents in rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.
• Experience in skilled nursing/geriatric care preferred; new grads with relevant fieldwork encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with the healthcare team.
