Sigma Health Rehab in New Paltz, NY, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. You will work under a supervising physical therapist to implement the plan of care and support resident rehabilitation.

We welcome graduates and experienced PTAs with NY licensure; a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new grads with fieldwork are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist residents in carrying out exercises.
• Maintains resident confidentiality.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team
