Job summary

Polaris Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate therapy team. You will work under licensed PT supervision to support individualized rehabilitation plans and help patients regain function and independence.

The PTA will assist with exercises, modalities, progress tracking, and documentation while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's in Physical Therapist Assistant studies is required.
• Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or willingness to obtain.
• Prefer 6 months+ of experience in a physical therapy setting; new grads welcome.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families.
• Strong observational and assessment skills to identify patient needs.
• Full Time commitment with flexible scheduling to meet patient and team needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans, including exercises, stretches, and functional activities.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as directed by the therapist.
• Monitor patient progress, record treatment outcomes, and communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
