Job summary

Polaris Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a compassionate team in Cheyenne, WY. The PTA will support the therapy program and help promote patient recovery and independence.

Responsibilities include assisting PTs, conducting sessions, applying modalities, and documenting progress while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive treatment. New grads welcome with licensure readiness.

Qualifications

Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant PTA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant PTA to join our team of highly skilled and motivated healthcare professionals. As a PTA, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans that promote patient recovery and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans, including exercises, stretches, and functional activities
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
• Use various treatment modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, as directed by the physical therapist
• Monitor patient progress, record treatment outcomes, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment plans, progress, and outcomes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies, or equivalent
• Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), or willingness to obtain
• Prefer 6 months+ of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a strong foundation in patient care and rehabilitation techniques, but new grads welcome
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Strong observational and assessment skills, with the ability to identify and address patient needs
• Full Time commitment, with flexible scheduling to meet the needs of our patients and team
