Job summary

Runnells Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in New Jersey seeks a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility's rehabilitation team. You will implement treatment plans, assist residents with mobility, collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, document progress in the EMR, and participate in care plan meetings, while receiving mentorship and training for new grads.

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey (or eligible).
New grads welcome with mentorship and training.
Experience in SNF, long-term care, or geriatrics is a plus.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to improve residents' strength, balance, gait and functional mobility.
Treat residents with orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.
Document patient progress accurately in the EMR in a timely manner.
Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive team environment.
Report directly to the Physical Therapist and Director of Rehabilitation.
