Job summary

Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington in Burlington, Vermont, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The PTA will support licensed Physical Therapists to help residents improve mobility, strength and independence.

The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $32–$38, opportunities for growth, and a collaborative, patient-centered work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid Vermont PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide therapeutic exercises to improve strength, balance, mobility, endurance and independence.
• Assist patients with transfers, gait training and functional mobility.
• Monitor and document patient responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Document patient progress and comply with facility policies and regulations.
