Job summary

Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington in Burlington, Vermont, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a full-time role in our in-house rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents and patients improve mobility, strength, and independence.

The position offers competitive hourly pay ($32–$38) and a collaborative, patient-centered environment in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid Vermont PTA license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and goals.
• Guide therapeutic exercises to improve strength, balance, mobility, and independence.
• Assist patients with functional mobility, transfers, and gait training.
• Document patient responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
