Job summary

The Learning Experience - Ballantyne-Charlotte is seeking a caring and dedicated Toddler Teacher to create a safe, engaging classroom for children ages 12–24 months. You will implement the LEAP curriculum through hands-on activities, supporting early learning alongside a collaborative teaching team.

Ideal candidates will have at least six months of professional childcare or teaching experience and an associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or a high school diploma

Qualifications

  • Six months of professional childcare or teaching experience is required.
  • Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to follow LEAP curriculum and engage toddlers 12–24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom for children ages 12–24 months.
  • Follow the LEAP curriculum with hands-on activities, play, music, movement, and exploration.
  • Help children build social, emotional, and early learning skills.
  • Support children as they develop independence and reach milestones.
  • Provide a caring and consistent daily routine including meals, naps, diapering, and activities.
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Communicate with families about their child's day, progress, and moments.
  • Work with the teaching team to ensure a positive, consistent classroom experience.
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and ready for learning and play.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Age Group: 12 months–24 months

As a Toddler Teacher, You Will:

  • Have professional experience working with children? (Preferred)
  • Have at least six months of professional childcare or teaching experience? (Required)
  • Have an Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field? (Preferred)
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED? (Required)
  • Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and enjoy being part of a team?
