Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Retail Pharmacy location in Racine. The role supports licensed pharmacists in medication preparation, labeling, and distribution, including sterile and non-sterile processes. Certification within 18 months is required, with a high school diploma or GED as a minimum education.

Hours are Mon-Fri 9a-7p and Saturdays 9a-4p, with up to 2 weekends per month. Base pay ranges from $21.85 to $32.80 per hour, with full benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to medication preparation and distribution.
• Selects, prepares, and labels medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assists with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screens calls and routes them using proper etiquette.
• Performs nonsterile compounding following USP standards where applicable.
• Performs sterile IV admixture where applicable.
• Maintains storage areas per policies and regulatory standards.
• Completes documentation for controlled substances and record keeping.
