Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the southeastern Wisconsin pharmacy operations. You will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, label products, and help with inventory and order processing.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, state registration, and a pharmacy technician certification within 18 months. You will work 40 hours per week and may participate in immunization programs and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy technician certification within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Prepare, label, and dispense medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Support with inventory control, procurement, and outdate checking.
• Screen calls and route as needed; perform data entry for record keeping and billing.
• Assist in nonsterile compounding and sterile IV admixture where applicable.
• Adhere to storage policies and regulatory standards; participate in training as needed.
