Food Lion in Upper Marlboro, MD is seeking a Perishable Department Associate to deliver quality customer service and maintain department standards. You will assist with receiving deliveries, rotate stock, and ensure proper stocking of meat, dairy and other perishables, while following Food Lion policies and safety guidelines.

The role requires high school education (preferred) and strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store properly.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise.
• Maintain product levels in meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, and ice cream sections.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases; assemble and clean grinders as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department and follow safety procedures.
