Job summary

Food Lion in Perry Hall, MD is hiring for a Perishable Department Associate to provide fast, friendly and accurate service while maintaining department standards.

You will handle deliveries, stock meat and dairy, follow safety guidelines, and support store operations. The role requires physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.; a high school diploma is preferred and prior grocery experience is not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain proper product levels in all Perishable areas (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream).
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and stock merchandise.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follow policies and guidelines.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain the department’s cleanliness and compliance with company standards.
