Job summary

Russell Regional Hospital is seeking a Hospital Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate daily patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will support daily activities, assist with hygiene, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure safe, quality care.

Required are a valid Kansas CNA, current BLS, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for this role in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a nurse aide in good standing with the state of Kansas.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Providing great patient care.
• Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
• Providing physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, mobility).
• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
• Communicating with physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions and plans.
• Recording vital signs and reporting changes to staff.
• Assisting with patient assessments and basic care tasks as needed.
