Job summary

Russell Regional Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time night shift in the Acute Care Department. You will provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, follow physician orders, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, administering medications, ensuring safety, and teaching patients and families. Licensure in Kansas (KS) and ACLS/BLS on hire are required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Kansas (KS).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or able to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to communicate with diverse patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess the delivery of nursing care and identify problems or areas for improvement.
• Plan individualized nursing care in collaboration with patients and health care team; document goals and plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and provide a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Educate patients and families based on assessed needs and documented care plans.
• Attend meetings and contribute to in-service education as assigned.
