Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician in Placentia, CA to perform gross examination of tissue specimens and complete same-day processing. You will work in a pathology lab setting and ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA and HIPAA while maintaining turnaround times.

The role requires an AS degree or ASCP certification, prior grossing experience, and strong communication. Competitive benefits are offered; schedule is Monday through Friday with early start times

Qualifications

• Requires ASCP licensure or equivalent and a related degree.
• Prior lab and grossing experience is mandatory.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must read/write English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination of tissue specimens and complete same-day grossing.
• Prepare slide prep specimens for microscopic evaluation within same day of receipt.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and organize slides, reports, and logs.
