Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners seeks a skilled laboratory technician to assist in routine diagnostic tests, including gross examination and slide preparation, with a focus on timely turnaround. This full-time role is based in Placentia, CA and requires ASCP certification or equivalent and prior grossing experience.

You will follow OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA guidelines, maintain records, and support immunohistochemistry workflows while contributing to a high-quality pathology workflow within the dermatology

Qualifications

• Requires prior lab and grossing experience.
• ASCP certification or licensure (HT/HTL/MT/CT).
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination of tissue specimens and grossing.
• Prepare slide prep specimens for microscopic evaluation within same day of receipt.
• Maintain turnaround time goals and organize slides, reports, files, logs and inventories.
• Ensure OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance in daily operations.
