Job summary

A theological institution in Pennsylvania seeks a pastor to lead worship services and provide spiritual guidance for the church family. Responsibilities

  • Plan the weekly worship service and preach scripturally-based sermons.
  • Provide spiritual and outreach leadership to the church family.
  • Lead teams in planning future spiritual needs of the congregation.
  • Conduct weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
  • Provide counseling and prayer.

  • Lead teaching program programs and Bible study, confirmation classes, and new member classes
  • Guide and support the policies and procedures of APC, work with Presbytery as needed
  • Maintain a presence/informed awareness of all church activities
  • Provide leadership and direction for staff and lay leaders
  • Prepare the docket and moderate session meetings
  • Attend to his/her personal spiritual health and development
  • Be involved in community affairs, such as civic club membership, attendance at civic and cultural events, local Ministerium, and other appropriate gatherings
  • Serve as staff liaison to the worship, stewardship, human resources, session, deacons, and trustees along with others as appropriate

Job description
