The position offers $16.00 per hour with duties including patrolling, monitoring access, responding to alarms, and maintaining overall security across the facility. Fresh Mark provides a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with visitors.
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol industrial premises to prevent intrusion and secure doors, windows, and gates.
• Apprehend trespassers and remove violators.
• Protect property and staff by maintaining a safe environment.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor entrance/exit of employees, visitors, and others to prevent theft.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
• Contact emergency services when needed.
• Answer calls and provide information during non-business hours.
• Conduct random checks of individuals and prevent prohibited articles.
• Inspect and adjust security systems and equipment to detect tampering.
• Authorize and check in trucks, and check trucks leaving the premises.
• Transport employees as needed.

We invite you to be part of our exciting team and rapidly growing business. The Fresh Mark facility in Canton, Ohio, is currently accepting applications for 1st Shift Security Guards. The successful candidate will be vigilant, and hardworking.

$16.00/Hour

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Patrol industrial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Apprehend trespassers and remove people who violate the rules or create disturbances.
• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Contact emergency services in cases such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours.
• Conduct random checks of individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into or out of restricted areas.
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
• Authorize and check in trucks. Also, check trucks leaving premises.
• Transport employees as needed

Required Skills, Knowledge or Abilities:
