Job summary

Urgency Room is hiring Paramedics to support patient assessment, treatment, monitoring, and coordination across a multidisciplinary clinical team in Minnesota. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement and follow the patient care plan established by the clinician.
• Collect, assess, and document vital signs and clinical data.
• Perform phlebotomy, IV therapy, meds administration, oxygen, EKGs, sterile and sedation procedures.
• Operate defibrillators, bag-valve-mask resuscitators, cardiac monitors, and EKG equipment.
• Administer medications under clinician direction and policies.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to providers and team.
• Provide patient and family education on post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.

Job description

• Base Pay $33.16 - $45.98 / Hour

Urgency Room Paramedics play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. This position is responsible for supporting patient assessment, treatment, monitoring, procedures, stabilization, patient education, and care coordination while working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while contributing to a seamless clinical experience. By implementing clinician-directed plans of care, performing advanced clinical interventions within scope of practice, communicating changes in patient condition, and responding effectively to emergent situations, Paramedics help ensure positive patient outcomes and operational excellence. This role is essential in supporting our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to the communities we serve. We are seeking applicants for our locations in Woodbury, Golden Valley, Eagan, and Vadnais Heights.

The main job tasks include:

• Implement and follow the patient care plan established by the clinician
• Collect, assess, and document pertinent patient information, including vital signs, physical assessment findings, electrocardiograms (EKGs), cardiac monitoring data, and other relevant clinical information
• Perform technical aspects of patient care within role competency and scope, including phlebotomy, intravenous cannulation, medication administration, oxygen therapy, EKGs, and assistance with sterile procedures and sedation procedures
• Operate clinical equipment used in advanced life support applications, including external defibrillators, bag-valve-mask resuscitators, cardiac monitors, and EKG equipment
• Administer medications via approved routes under the direction of the clinician and in accordance with organizational policies and role competency
• Communicate changes in patient condition and other relevant information to providers, nurses, and designated members of the healthcare team
• Provide routine patient and family education, including instructions regarding crutches, splints, casts, and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical and administrative documentation in the electronic medical record

Schedule

Work hours are based on clinic staffing and operational needs and may include a mixture of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Shift lengths may vary based on patient volumes and clinic requirements.

Travel to other Urgency Room locations may be required for training, meetings, and operational support.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program
• Current Paramedic certification in the State of Minnesota
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, & current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
