Job summary

Urgency Room is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary clinic. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate care from admission through discharge, collaborating with physicians, APCs, and support staff.

Requirements include Minnesota RN license, 2+ years emergency nursing, BLS, ACLS, ENPC/PALS, and TNCC certifications. Travel between Woodbury, Golden Valley, Eagan, and Vadnais Heights may be required.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN license required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of emergency nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, ENPC and/or PALS, and TNCC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement and supervise nursing care
• Document and revise plans based on patient progress
• Coordinate care across the entire episode from assessment to discharge
• Perform or delegate technical nursing tasks (phlebotomy, IV cannulation, meds, oxygen, EKGs)
• Operate telemetry and cardiac monitoring systems and emergency equipment
• Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in a fast-paced ambulatory setting

Description

Urgency Room Registered Nurses (RNs) play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. This position is responsible for managing the current episode of nursing care while providing direct, coordinated, and patient-centered care from assessment through discharge. The RN independently assesses patient needs, develops and evaluates individualized plans of care, implements nursing interventions, and coordinates care in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), paramedics, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based patient care while supporting a seamless clinical experience. Through expert clinical judgment, critical thinking, technical nursing skills, patient education, and coordination of care, the Registered Nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and operational excellence. This role is essential in supporting our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to the communities we serve. We are seeking applicants for our locations in Woodbury, Golden Valley, Eagan, and Vadnais Heights.

The main job tasks include:

• Independently assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care using evidence-based nursing practice and appropriate growth and development principles
• Implement the clinician's plan of care while providing safe, ethical, efficient, and patient-centered nursing care
• Document, evaluate, and revise patient care plans based on ongoing assessment findings and patient response to treatment
• Coordinate patient care throughout the entire episode of care, from assessment through discharge, to support continuity, safety, and optimal outcomes
• Perform or appropriately delegate technical aspects of patient care, including phlebotomy, intravenous cannulation, medication administration, oxygen therapy, EKGs, assistance with sterile procedures, and procedural sedation support
• Operate and interpret telemetry, cardiac monitoring systems, rhythm recognition equipment, defibrillators, and other emergency medicine equipment consistent with role competency
• Apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced acute ambulatory care environment

Schedule

Work hours are based on clinic staffing and operational needs and may include a mixture of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Shift lengths may vary based on patient volumes and clinic requirements.

Travel to other Urgency Room locations may be required for training, meetings, and operational support.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, current Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
