Job summary

Jovie is seeking caring, reliable individuals to join our on-call back-up nanny team. You will care for children in-home with an emphasis on safety, age-appropriate activities, and flexible scheduling around families’ needs.

Responsibilities include supervising play, light meals, and enriching activities, with 3+ weekdays availability during 7 am–7 pm. Training is provided; W-2 employment with benefits for full-time roles is offered where available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory.
• At least 18 years old, reliable transportation.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area.
• Available any 3 or more weekdays for 6-8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm.

• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child.
• Engage children by providing safety and leading age-appropriate development activities.

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

We Provide

• Pay: $18 per hour - $21.50 per hour per hour
• Receive paid training and a nanny kit filled with age-appropriate activities and games that you will bring to childcare assignments

About You

• At least 18 years old
