Job summary

The Cordova Recreation & Park District is seeking a self-driven candidate for the Park Services Department on the Detail crew. This full-time entry-level role covers custodial, maintenance and general landscape duties across the district’s parks and facilities.

Benefits include fully paid medical, dental and vision for employee and dependents, plus CalPERS retirement. Schedule is primarily weekends with some holidays and possibly evenings; first-round interviews the week of October 19, 2026.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and one year of experience in the maintenance and repair of parks and facilities.
• Knowledge of maintenance and repair of parks and facilities.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment used in park maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled park and facilities maintenance work.
• Mow, edge, fertilize and water landscaped areas; plant and maintain turf.
• Operate maintenance equipment and perform routine repairs.
• Maintain records and reports.
• Assist in supervising part-time crews as needed.
