Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Twin Falls, Idaho is seeking a Full-time Outpatient Pharmacist to join our outpatient pharmacy team.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across multiple outpatient service areas, including medication lockers and traditional outpatient pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will be proficient in clinical pharmacy practice, enjoy a collaborative healthcare environment, and be motivated to support innovative outpatient services.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited School or College of Pharmacy (PharmD or equivalent).
  • Idaho pharmacist license or eligible for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate the appropriateness of prescribed medication therapies.
  • Interpret prescriptions and accurately compound and dispense medications.
  • Provide medication information, counseling, and consultation to patients, nurses, and medical staff.
  • Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document interventions according to medical center standards.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as appropriate.
  • Supervise, direct, and authorize the work of pharmacy technicians, interns, externs, and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate records related to medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, inventory, and medical records.
  • Support Meds-to-Beds and Transitions of Care services to improve patient outcomes and continuity of care.
  • Assist with training and education of technicians, interns, externs, residents, and other pharmacy staff.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to students, technicians, residents, and new practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

  • Degree from an accredited School or College of Pharmacy (PharmD or equivalent)

Experience

  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Pharmacist License in the state of practice (Idaho or eligible for licensure)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, through one of the following:
    • American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)
    • American Heart Association (AHA)
    • American Red Cross
