Job summary

Community Medical Services in Minot, ND seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support patients recovering from opioid use disorders. You will conduct exams, evaluate histories, and manage methadone treatment plans in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of employment.
• Unrestricted DEA license.
• CPR Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• Clinical experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and opioid treatment preferred.
• Experience documenting into an electronic medical record.
• Ability to complete fingerprint clearance and tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and assessments and participate in treatment planning.
• Manage ongoing methadone or other opioid treatment plans.
• Sign medical orders and maintain documentation per state and federal laws.
• Oversee patient case management for chronic conditions and medications.
• Complete same-day clinical documentation using EHR templates.
• Refer patients to other healthcare professionals as needed for continuum of care.
• Collaborate with Medical Director to meet patient healthcare needs.
• Educate patients and families on medications, side effects, and nutrition.
