Job summary

Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring immediately a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist patients recovering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances. You will perform evaluations, prescribe and manage methadone treatment plans, and collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure comprehensive care in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in state of employment.
• Unrestricted DEA license required.
• CPR certification required.
• First Aid certification required.
• Clinical experience in substance abuse rehabilitation preferred.
• Experience documenting into an electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ability to complete a valid fingerprint clearance and tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care in an addiction treatment setting.
• Perform physical exams and assessments and manage methadone treatment plans.
• Collaborate with Medical Director to meet patient healthcare needs.
• Educate patients and families on medications and health habits.
• Document clinical visits and treatment plans promptly in the EMR.
• Support ongoing case management for patients with chronic health issues.
