Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Texas is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team. You will provide person-centered OT services under supervision to help residents improve independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include planning and administering treatments, documenting thoroughly, and collaborating with the OT and care team. Texas license and COTA credential are required; SNF or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatments align with the plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
