Job summary

Desert Mountain Care Center in Indio, CA is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. The role offers a flexible schedule with work-life balance and pay ranging from $35 to $40 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include delivering rehabilitative interventions under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist, conducting ADL retraining and therapeutic activities, and monitoring patient progress to adjust treatments as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Hold a current and active State license/registration where applicable.
• Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of devices under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments as required.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
