Job summary

Desert Mountain Care Center in Indio, CA is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. The role offers a flexible schedule with work-life balance and pay ranging from $35 to $40 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include delivering rehabilitative interventions under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist, conducting ADL retraining and therapeutic activities, and monitoring patient progress to adjust treatments as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Hold a current and active State license/registration where applicable.
• Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT – FULL TIME – DESERT MOUNTAIN CARE CENTER – INDIO, CA

Desert Mountain Care Center in Indio, CA, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team.

FULL TIME – Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay: $35 - $40/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, following regulatory and clinical standards under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
