Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician to support senior outpatient clinics in Central Valley California.

This full‑time role is designed for compassionate professionals who want to bring quality vision care to underserved communities, away from traditional retail settings.

Locations include Stockton and Modesto; schedule is 4 days per week; compensation is $27 per hour plus mileage reimbursement, with no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Optician or Optometric Technician.
• Experience serving geriatric or senior populations.
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control standards.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift and transport equipment (25–50 pounds).
• Pass federal background check and drug screening.
• Professional, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Heart for serving seniors and underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients.
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs.
• Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment.
• Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols.
• Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks.
• Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability.

This is not a high-volume retail model. We focus on quality care, meaningful patient interaction, and strong support for the providers and clinical teams we serve.

There may also be opportunities to cross-train in additional clinical areas such as audiology and podiatry.

What You’ll Do
