Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique role, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students.

The position follows a nine-on, three-off schedule; future placement as a single houseparent is possible. Responsibilities include daily supervision, routine management, wellness checks, transporting students, leading devotions, and

Qualifications

Experience working or volunteering with youth.
Two-year married couple minimum.
Both spouses age 27 or older.
No more than three dependent children in household.
Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
Pet restrictions: fish and one dog allowed.
Valid U.S. driver’s license; able to become certified to drive student vans.
Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students.

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
Manage household routines and student schedules.
Administer medications and support student wellness.
Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Chapel.
Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
