Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Texas is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team. You will focus on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to maximize ADLs and IADLs while ensuring compliant documentation and ongoing education for patients and

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license in good standing.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations.
• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize ADLs and IADLs.
• Assess home environments and recommend modifications.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training for independence and safety.
• Ensure treatments align with the care plan and comply with regulations.
• Monitor responses and adjust interventions with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely per policies and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by leadership.
