Qualifications

• Must have Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required and maintained.
• Nuchal Translucency certification required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review daily ultrasound schedule and prepare patient and referral info.
• Enter ultrasound orders in Athena to ensure system communication.
• Escort patients to the ultrasound suite and explain procedures clearly.
• Prepare patients and rooms for ultrasounds and procedures.
• Perform pelvic and obstetrical ultrasounds.
• Capture images, measurements, and Doppler samples as required.
• Generate reports in Viewpoint and transfer data accurately.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians as needed.
• Complete billing for ultrasound services performed.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and sanitation of probes.
• Monitor supplies and place orders as needed.
• Report issues with GE/Philips/Viewpoint systems.
• Participate in HIPAA/OSHA training and QA activities.
• Support training and mentoring of new sonographers.
