Job summary

The Beth Israel Lahey Health affiliated Fresh Pond OBGYN Clinic in Cambridge, MA is seeking a full-time RN for a 40-hour/ week, Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm). This position has no weekends or holidays and emphasizes triage and patient education in obstetric/gynecology care.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, triage calls, reviewing labs, processing prescriptions, educating patients, and supporting physicians and staff in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing process and clinical care.
• Current registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with office staff, MAs, midlevel providers, and physicians to facilitate patient care and referrals.
• Triage patient telephone calls and arrange follow-up as indicated.
• Review lab results and inform provider of findings and treatment recommendations.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to providers and patients promptly.
• Handle prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Educate and document teaching and follow-up care with patients and families.
• Follow up on and track patients with clinical concerns.
• See patients for education appointments and injections as ordered.
