Job summary

The University of Bridgeport, School of Nursing invites applications for a 12-month, full-time faculty position with expertise in adult health, maternity, or mental health. The role focuses on the BSN/ABSN program and excellence in teaching, scholarship and service.

Responsibilities include teaching didactic courses, supervising clinicals, advising students, curriculum development, and participating in commencements and university meetings; schedules may include evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required or actively pursuing terminal degree.
• CT RN license or eligibility is required.
• Recent clinical experience is required.
• Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic courses and supervise clinicals.
• Teach across the curriculum with possible specialty areas.
• Pursue scholarly activities and engage in service.
• Advise students, contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Participate in commencements and university meetings; some evenings/weekends.
