The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Bedford VA Healthcare Medical Center in Bedford, Massachusetts, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Inpatient Community Living Center - Long Term Care. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week on a 24/7 unit.

Applicants may be referred while still meeting education/certification requirements. Basic requirements include US citizenship, English proficiency, and appropriate experience or education for GS-3/4/5 levels.

Formación

• Six months of general experience.
• Education: One year of education above high school with nursing-related courses.
• Training: Completion of an intensive, specialized training course of study or program of less than one year as a NA.
• May qualify based on Grandfathering Provision for current VA employees in this occupation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide a range of patient care and contribute to the nurse care plan.
• Observe patients and refer deviations to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Properly use equipment and supplies in basic treatments.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and health professionals.
