Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide care to patients/residents with acute to chronic conditions in a health care setting.

You will assist with activities of daily living and contribute to the patient's treatment plan and recovery under supervision of a licensed health care provider. This role includes meeting basic nurse aide qualifications, working under close supervision, and advancing basic nursing skills as part of a VA care team.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Experience or education in healthcare settings preferred.
• Basic ability to perform nursing tasks and assist licensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks under supervision.
• Support care planning and patient/resident safety under R.N./LPN direction.
• Operate basic patient care equipment as trained and report changes to the supervisor.
