Job summary

Nurse Practitioner – Skilled Nursing Facility in Kinston, NC provides primary care to geriatric patients within a facility setting. You will manage chronic and urgent illnesses and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The role is full-time, Monday through Friday with some flexibility, no evenings or weekends. On-site with a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision, life/AD&D, FSA/HSA, PTO, CME, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina NP license.
• DEA registration or license.
• At least 1 year advanced practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate medical care for geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility.
• Examine and treat chronic illnesses.
• Examine and treat urgent illnesses.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing.
• Collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals.
• Work with the interdisciplinary care team; make referrals as needed.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Serve as a primary care provider for geriatric patients located in a skilled nursing facility. Overall duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

• plan, direct, and evaluate medical care
• examine and treat chronic illnesses
• examine and treat urgent illnesses
• order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
• collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals
• work closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• make referrals as necessary

The practice uses an EHR on a mobile-based platform and providers are supported by team members who assist with scheduling, orders, referrals, etc.

Providers share on-call responsibilities, which is low volume phone triage. Providers are on call no more than 3 nights per month and flexibility is offered.
