Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
• Graduate of Phlebotomy course.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Monitors vital signs and records intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Prioritizes unit tasks and maintains flexibility under stress.
• Liaises between patient care units and related departments.
• Answers calls with courteous telephone etiquette.
• Manages overall unit workflow with charge RN or manager.
