Job summary

The Cradle Company in San Francisco, CA is seeking a compassionate nanny for long-term, part-time care of a 6-year-old and a newborn (EDD May 20). The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:30am–5:30pm, starting ASAP.

Parents work from home and require collaborative, supportive childcare in a family setting. Responsibilities include newborn support, light household duties, and keeping a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for newborns is preferred.
• Proven ability to engage a toddler in learning and play.
• Strong safety and household management skills.
• Willingness to work with a family-based schedule and routine.

Responsibilities

Job description

A quiet & loving family in San Francisco, CA (94109) is seeking a compassionate Nanny to provide long-term, part-time care for their 6-year-old and soon-to-be infant (EDD May 20th), beginning as soon as possible.

Please note that the emphasis of care will be on newborn support, as the 6-year-old is in school during the day.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday – 10:30am to 5:30pm

(35 hours per week)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide attentive, engaging care focused on the child’s safety, well-being, and development.
• Support a smooth transition as the family welcomes a newborn into the home.
• Assist with light household duties including cooking, cleaning, and laundry (supplies provided), while child is at school.
• Occasionally monitor and care for the newborn while parents attend errands or appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment using non-toxic practices and products.

Note: Must be open to collaboration, as both parents work from home.

Must be vaccinated (TDAP, TB, COVID, Flu, MMR, Chicken pox & Hepatitis B)

Benefits:

• Paid Sick Time Amount: 40 hours (5, 8-hour days) per year (kicks in after 90 days)
