Job summary

The Cradle Company in San Francisco, CA is seeking a compassionate nanny for long-term, part-time care of a 6-year-old and a newborn (EDD May 20). The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:30am–5:30pm, starting ASAP.

Parents work from home and require collaborative, supportive childcare in a family setting. Responsibilities include newborn support, light household duties, and keeping a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for newborns is preferred.
• Proven ability to engage a toddler in learning and play.
• Strong safety and household management skills.
• Willingness to work with a family-based schedule and routine.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaging care focused on safety and development.
• Support a smooth transition for newborn integration.
• Assist with light household duties (cooking, cleaning, laundry) while child is at school.
• Occasionally supervise newborn during parents' errands or appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe home using non-toxic products.
