Job summary

Liftology Houston Metro is seeking a Mobility Installation Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot stairlifts, elevators, and other accessibility equipment in residential and commercial settings around the Houston area.

Applicants should have general tool skills; prior mobility installation experience is ideal but not required. The role involves site evaluations, client interaction, and potential regional travel for specialized training. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Job description

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Installation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of stairlifts, elevators, overhead patient lifts, auto lifts, ramps, and other accessibility equipment both residentially and commercially. Brands include Bruno, Harmar, National Ramp, Human Care, Savaria, Pollock, and more.
• Assist in the evaluation of projects at clients' homes and on commercial sites.
• Work with clients & manufacturers throughout the installation and service process.
• Evaluations and installations will be throughout the Houston Metro area (company vehicle & tools are provided).
• Minimal travel required (primarily localized to the Greater Houston area, with occasional regional travel for specialized manufacturer training).

Requirements & Working Conditions:

• General knowledge of and ability to competently use tools.
• Previous experience as a mobility installation technician is ideal, but absolutely not required.
• Experience in fields such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, construction, mobility equipment, elevators, wiring, troubleshooting, or satellite installation would be helpful, but is not required. Trade school grads welcome!
• Manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces (hoistways, crawl spaces, attics), on ladders/scaffolding, and in varying residential and commercial construction environments.
• Must be able to safely lift 100 lbs and get in and out of a service vehicle without trouble.
• Strict adherence to company safety protocols, including the mandatory use of provided PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and fall protection when required).
• Professional appearance, strong customer service mindset for entering private residences, and punctuality.
• Visual ability to read materials such as installation manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain basic computer literacy.
• Requires a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and a current valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check and alcohol/drug tests.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) is a strong plus!

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

• Approximately 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (hours will vary depending on job requirements).
• Approximately $20-$30/hour - depending on experience.
• Paid holidays + paid personal time off per year.
