Job summary

Pathway Resource Center in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a For Hire Transportation Driver to transport participants in Pathway’s Micro Transit System, ensuring on-time service and passenger safety.

The role requires a valid For Hire Endorsement with at least 2 years of experience, DOT medical screening, and TAPTCO onboarding certification. You will follow routes, assist passengers, operate wheelchair lifts, and maintain a professional, safe service at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid For Hire Endorsement with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
• DOT Physical and Drug Screening required.
• Criminal Background Check required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial transit vehicle in compliance with all regulations.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules in a timely and professional manner.
• Safely pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops.
• Utilize defensive driving techniques at all times.
• Communicate delays, route concerns, or issues with dispatch and passengers.
• Assist passengers with mobility needs, including wheelchair lifts.
• Maintain daily vehicle cleanliness and conduct inspections as assigned.
