Job summary

Pathway Resource Center in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Full-Time CDL Transportation Driver for its Micro Transit System. The role requires a CDL with Passenger Endorsement and at least two years’ experience, plus DOT physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial transit vehicle in compliance with all regulations.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules in a timely and professional manner.
• Safely pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops.
• Utilize defensive driving techniques at all times.
• Communicate delays, route concerns, or operational issues with dispatch and passengers.
• Maintain a professional, service-oriented demeanor while representing Pathway.
• Assist passengers with mobility challenges, including operating wheelchair lifts and securing riders.
• Enforce safety and behavioral expectations onboard.
• Conduct and document required vehicle inspections as assigned.
• Maintain daily cleanliness of the vehicle and complete scheduled deep cleanings.
• Report maintenance needs, incidents, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
• Support additional transportation as needed.
